Kate McGuire, 26, began her musical journey at age six with her first guitar. Inspired by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and his aggressive and sporadic playing style, Kate quickly immersed herself in music. With nearly a decade of experience in the band ‘Voiid’, as well as stints in ‘Mouse,’ ‘Platonic Sex,’ and her latest solo project ‘Sourpuss,’ she’s established herself as a dynamic and relentless musician in the Australian music scene. Kate has shared the stage with iconic acts like Alex G, NOFX, The Descendents, Amyl and the Sniffers, IDLES, and La Dispute.
